How it works?
✔ Clips: these are placed between adjacent tiles to maintain a consistent gap.
✔ Wedge: inserted into the clips, it lifts the tiles to the same level.
✔ Setting: once the mortar sets, the tiles are locked in place.
✔ Removal: after the mortar has dried, the wedge is removed, and the clips can be reused.
Common clip thickness
✔ 1/32" (0.8mm): for thin tiles and narrow grout joints.
✔ 1/16" (1.6mm): a standard size for most tile installations.
✔ 1/8" (3.2mm): for thicker tiles or wider grout joints.
✔ Some will mark 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, etc.

Choosing the right clip size for your tile project
Selecting the correct plastic tile leveler clip size is crucial for achieving a flawless tile installation. Here's a breakdown of the key factors to consider:
✔ Tile thickness:
Thin tiles: opt for thinner clips (1/32" or 1/16") to avoid excessive gaps.
Thick tiles: choose thicker clips (1/8") to ensure proper support and leveling.
✔ Desired grout joint width:
Narrow grout joints: use thinner clips for a smaller gap between tiles.
Wider grout joints: select thicker clips to accommodate the desired space.
✔ Tile material:
Porcelain and ceramic tiles: standard clip sizes often work well.
Natural stone or glass tiles: consider using thinner clips to avoid potential damage.
✔ Tile size:
Large format tiles: thicker clips might be necessary to compensate for weight and prevent sagging.
Small format tiles: thinner clips are generally sufficient.
General guidelines:
Start with a standard 1/16" clip: This size is versatile and works well for most tile installations. It's always better to err on the side of caution by using a slightly thicker clip than a thinner one. This helps prevent unevenness and ensures a professional finish.
